The pasture one year later. It is greener than in this picture. We limed a week or two ago so we should get a lot more grass soon. Compared to last year's photo it doesn't look like we have as much grass but really there is more grass this year and less weeds. There are also less bare spots.
Like many horse owners I work to ride. I don't mean I work for my lessons or work with horses so that I can ride. I mean that I have a full time non-equestrian job, the main purpose of which is to fund my passion. Horses.
I would love nothing more than to be a professional in the horse industry. That is a goal that I am working towards and always planning. Unfortunately, the bills don't care what you do as long as they get paid. So, for now I work to ride, and ride to live. This blog is about the struggle of one equestrian balancing work, riding and showing, with the dreams of one day riding for work.
